Its construction began on the square near the Vladimir Cathedral in Chersonesos on January 18 at 22:00.
The construction of an ordinary temple is timed to coincide with the feast of Epiphany. The tradition of such rapid construction of churches was forgotten for several centuries, but has been revived in recent years.
According to Alexander Fedorovsky, general director of the production and construction company Zodchie, the timber for the temple was brought from Kirov. The height of the temple is 10 meters. Preparation for construction took a month.
After the solemn ceremony of consecrating the construction of the temple, all those present had the opportunity to participate in its construction. Anyone could put one or more logs.
In two weeks, the church will be moved from the square near St. Vladimir's Cathedral in Chersonesos to a site near the street. Shevchenko and Stoletovsky Prospekt. The temple will be consecrated in honor of St. Sergius of Radonezh.
