This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Khmelnitsky region.

It is reported that the family was registered with local authorities as low-income.

“On the day of the tragedy, the girl turned 13 years old. The mother left the birthday girl to look after her younger sister, and she went to celebrate. When she returned, the girl was already dead - the schoolgirl used a scarf to hang herself on a crossbar in one of the rooms of the house,” the press service noted.

The day after the child’s funeral, the woman also committed suicide by hanging herself on the same doorpost as her daughter.
