“Yesterday, SBU officers detained a volunteer from the Khmelnitsky region, who was transporting an arsenal of weapons in his own car. More than 1 thousand cartridges and grenades were found in the minibus. The men conduct a search in their own home. The regional SBU does not comment on the information,” the publication says.
From informed sources in law enforcement agencies, an UNN correspondent learned that a volunteer from the Khmelnitsky region was found to have more than 2 live rounds of ammunition, explosives and live grenades.
It is reported that the SBU has not yet commented on the information.
Colleagues of the detained volunteer told the publication’s correspondent that his car was detained by law enforcement officers in the Khmelnitsky region yesterday. An entire arsenal of military weapons was found in a Kamensk resident’s minibus. A search was also carried out in his apartment.
According to colleagues of the detainee, he was engaged in volunteer assistance to the Ukrainian military in the so-called “ATO” zone. He was stopped for inspection when he was returning from one of the military units in the Donbass.
