This was reported by the press service of the Khmelnitsky region police.

Law enforcement officers established that a conflict arose between a group of men over the division of property, in the midst of which a 65-year-old pensioner blew up an RGD-5 combat grenade.

Most of those present managed to hide, but the 46-year-old Khmelnytsky resident did not get his bearings in time and received shrapnel wounds to his back and leg as a result of the explosion.

The attacker was detained and is in a temporary detention center.

A pre-trial investigation has been launched into this fact under clause 5, part 2, art. 115 (attempted murder), and Part 1 of Art. 263 (illegal handling of weapons) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The investigation is ongoing.
