A crisis broke out in Croatia due to anti-Russian sanctions
Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic accused the country's President Zoran Milanovic of acting in the interests of the “Russian aggressor.”
Total Croatia News writes about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Earlier, the President of Croatia said that European sanctions against Russia do not work, since Moscow can sell oil to others. He made the announcement after the EU imposed a partial embargo on oil imports from Russia.
“Sanctions are a matter of morality. You need to be on the right side of history and the law. We are pursuing a policy in the interests of the EU, and if it pursues a policy... in the interests of the Russian aggressor, then it must explain this to citizens. Unfortunately, this has been happening for several months and is not just a coincidence, it is a great shame for Croatia,” Plenkovic said after the EU summit in Brussels.
He believes that Croatia needs to build LNG terminals to get rid of dependence on Russian gas.
