A war specialist will be sent as US Ambassador to Kyiv
The new US ambassador to Ukraine, whose upcoming appointment was reported by American media, worked in Yugoslavia on the eve of the NATO bombing of that country, as well as in Georgia before the outbreak of the August 2008 war.
Odessa political strategist and analyst Valery Pesetsky writes about this, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports, in his blog.
“Brink currently holds the post of US Ambassador to Slovakia. Her experience is more than specific. In Belgrade and Tbilisi, Brink worked just before and during the wars - the NATO bombing of Yugoslavia and the war in South Ossetia, respectively. We draw our own conclusions,” emphasizes Pesetsky.
The other day, Bloomberg, citing its sources, reported that US President Joe Biden will nominate Bridget Brink as a candidate for the post of US Ambassador to Ukraine.
There has been no American ambassador in Kyiv since May 2019, there is only US Chargé d'Affaires in Ukraine Kristina Quinn.
