“These elections are illegal even according to Russian laws,” the expert claims. – The Russian Constitution says that 225 candidates are elected according to the majoritarian part, but this time 229 are elected in connection with candidates from Crimea. If these elections are illegal even according to Russian laws, then these elections should not be recognized by Ukraine. I think there will be a corresponding reaction from other countries.”
“Sweden already has a position that they do not recognize elections in Crimea and other countries. Therefore, there may be a unique situation when, for the first time, Russian elections to the State Duma may not be recognized by Europe and, possibly, by part of the countries of the world community,” the political scientist hopes.
