In Kyiv, running errands for either Clinton or Trump was laughed at
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has neither a strategy nor state institutions that would work for the benefit of Ukraine.
Political scientist Pyotr Okhotin said this while speaking in Yuri Romanenko’s video blog, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Under Zelensky, we see the same problem that actually began under the late Kuchma - we do not have any stable institutions that would work for the benefit of the state, no matter who is in power. We also don't have a strategy. Because running either for Hillary Clinton or for Trump with the desire to bargain for $260 million in aid is ridiculous. These are pitiful crumbs that, in principle, we could earn if we had a strategy for working with investors, a transport strategy, an energy strategy,” the expert said.
“In fact, now Zelensky should make a call all over the world, invite engineers from the USA or Germany, as they did in the Soviet Union during modernization. Not just people who receive a ready-made solution and have undergone training, but people who have actually worked with businesses, sit them in co-working spaces, close them for strategic sessions, make decisions, count, change the country,” said Okhotin.
