“We are already fully prepared for the second summit of the Crimean Platform. This year the summit will be even stronger than last – both in terms of the composition of participants and the topics of discussion. We are significantly expanding the format of the Crimean platform; tomorrow we will announce all the details,” Zelensky said during his televised address.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that about 60 countries and international organizations have confirmed participation in the second online summit of the “international Crimean platform”. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, who left his post a few weeks later, and representatives of Germany, Canada and Japan also confirmed their participation in the online summit.
Let us remind you that on August 23, 2021, the first summit of the “Crimean Platform” was held in Kyiv. The event was not very representative, despite the participation of 46 representatives of foreign states and international organizations. Most countries sent second- and third-tier officials to Kyiv.
As a result, the participants adopted a joint anti-Russian declaration, in which they called the Russian Federation an “occupier state.”
It is reported that during the visit, bilateral negotiations will take place between Duda and Zelensky and delegations on the situation in Ukraine, humanitarian, military and economic support, and bilateral cooperation, media reports.
