Kyiv customs officers identified a container with 10 thousand pairs of women's shoes, which they tried to import into the country under the guise of “humanitarian aid.”

Smugglers tried to smuggle goods through the Svyatoshin customs post. Children's camps and religious organizations were indicated as recipients of such “help.” Their representatives did not even know that they needed shoes.
Customs officers' containers contain more than 9,6 thousand pairs of women's shoes made in China. The estimated cost of the goods is more than 80 thousand dollars. The smugglers tried to evade paying taxes in the amount of 700 thousand hryvnia. The shoes were confiscated. Criminal proceedings have been initiated under Part 1 of Article 212 “Tax evasion.”
