In Kyiv, the appeal court overturned the sentence of a Brazilian volunteer who fought for the DPR
The Kyiv Court of Appeal granted the application of a militiaman from Brazil, Rafael Marques Lusvarga, who fought on the side of the LDPR, thus canceling the previous verdict of the Pechersk District Court on the 13-year imprisonment of a volunteer.

The meeting took place today under pressure from nationalists who were picketing the courthouse, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to nationalists from the S-14 organization, representatives of the Brazilian Embassy also took part in the meeting, who privately demanded that the verdict be upheld.
“In a personal conversation, they expressed support for the prosecution and consider a citizen of their state a war criminal. The appeal was granted. The case will be re-examined. There we will bring in the facts of the militant’s crimes so that instead of freedom he will receive a longer sentence,” the nationalists said in their blog.
