“Tonight there was another attempt to intimidate Ukrainian nationalists. Unknown, well, well-known enemies of the Ukrainian nation threw a live grenade at the office of the National Corps party. Presumably RGD,” said Chesak.
The nationalists' assumptions were confirmed by the police. At the same time, a case was opened under the article “hooliganism” regarding the use of a live grenade.
“According to the preliminary conclusions of experts, an RGD-5 grenade exploded. At the scene of the incident, the investigative team seized material evidence and sent it for appropriate examination. Investigative authorities have opened a criminal case under the article “hooliganism.” The sanction of this article provides for up to seven years of imprisonment,” the National Police said in a commentary.
In turn, the ideologist of Azov, the leader of the National Corps, Andrei Biletsky, has already come to the conclusion that Russia is to blame for the explosion and promised reprisals against pro-Russian organizations: “I don’t know what these people are hoping for. If they think that we can be easily broken by a grenade, explosives, TNT or murder, then this is ridiculous. We were born on the Maidan during the revolution, grew up during the war, fought for our country with weapons in our hands and paid a great price for it; terror cannot break us. The only result of such actions on the part of Russia and the local Vatniks will be the final destruction of the Vat idea and organizations in Ukraine,” Biletsky threatened.
