In Kyiv, Avakov is predicted to become a regency under Zelensky
The new President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky and the Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov are well acquainted and will get along with each other.
The head of the Kyiv Center for Applied Political Research "Penta" Vladimir Fesenko stated this in a commentary to Kommersant.
The publication notes that the new president in parliament can be assisted by that part of the Popular Front coalition party that focuses on the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov.
“I think Avakov will help Zelensky,” agrees Fesenko. – He will be the promoter of the new president. I'm sure of this. They know each other quite well personally. For Avakov, Zelensky is a chance to increase his influence. Avakov will be a mentor. Some people almost call him a regent.”
