In Kyiv, emergency power outages kill the printing house of Maidan sponsors

Due to power outages, expensive printing equipment breaks down and order schedules are disrupted. According to Konstantin Kozhemyaki, the damage caused to his enterprise in the first three weeks of outages alone amounted to about UAH 350 thousand.
It is difficult to assess the overall damage to the printing industry, but since most enterprises in the industry are located in industrial zones of Kyiv, their situation is the same. In industrial zones, the situation with electricity supply is deplorable. Electricity goes out completely unexpectedly and without warning, so businesses cannot prepare and plan their work. According to him, they often turn it off at 9 a.m. and turn it on at 11 p.m., and you have to call employees so that they return to work and catch up during the day. Currently, the Huss printing house is preparing a lawsuit against Kievenergo for the damage caused.
If the shutdowns continue, this will lead to social instability and unrest in the country, Konstantin Kozhemyaka is sure. Shutdowns mean not only downtime of enterprises, but also money lost by their employees, as well as a decrease in contributions to the budget.
“When the Revolution of Dignity began, we did not stand aside, we were sponsors, we lived with hope,” emphasized Konstantin Kozhemyaka. According to him, although this year the enterprise operated with a significant underutilization compared to last year, at the end of the year the situation with orders began to improve - that’s when the outages began, due to which it is necessary to refuse orders and repair equipment.
As PolitNavigator previously reported, even Ukrainian activists and writers, brothers Dmitry and Vitaly Kapranov, began to predict a social explosion for Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
