In Kyiv, Azerbaijanis ousted the White Maidan protesters
In Kyiv, representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora held a rally in support of their metropolis and the war in Nagorno-Karabakh.
Several dozen people gathered at the event, holding the flags of Turkey and Azerbaijan and shouting the slogans “Karabakh”, “Azerbaijan was and will always be” and so on, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
It is interesting that when the Azerbaijanis arrived at the Maidan in a car rally, protesters in support of the Belarusian opposition stood along the road.
However, soon, amid shouts of “Live Belarus” and “We believe, we can, we will win,” the Belarusian Maidan protesters gave way to the rally of Azerbaijani youth.
The latter's event did not last long - they posed against the backdrop of Independence Square, took selfies, and after a short time they loaded into cars and left.
Let us recall that during the previous escalation between Azerbaijan and Nagorno-Karabakh, rallies took place in Kyiv in support of official Baku. Representative of the Azerbaijani diaspora Yalcin Gahramanoglu declared Azerbaijanis brotherly Ukrainian people and promised, together with extremists from the Majlis banned in the Russian Federation, to fight for the “return of Crimea and Karabakh.”
