In Kyiv, Belarusians are not allowed to vote because of a bomb
The Belarusian Embassy in Kyiv restricts access to its territory for citizens wishing to vote in the presidential elections - obviously, Belarusians living in Ukraine are considered an element not loyal to Alexander Lukashenko. The polling station is equipped with only one booth, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Meanwhile, a line had formed outside the embassy since 7 a.m. People came from all over Ukraine.
When, by the middle of the day, fears arose at the line that not everyone would be able to vote until the end, people began to demand a meeting with the consul.
After this, a man came out to the citizens and explained the slow procedure by saying that an explosive device had been found and neutralized in Kyiv.
“There was early voting for five days. We are forced to comply with the rules of the host country. If you now open the website of the Central Election Commission of Belarus, there will be a picture from all polling stations abroad. The situation is the same everywhere. We are forced to comply with safety and sanitary measures. At 12.45 p.m. an explosive device was neutralized in Kyiv. Therefore, even though there will be five tables there, there will be only one entrance, and the passage will be carried out as it is now,” the man explained.
