In Kyiv, Berbock is met with demands to repent of Ukraine and pay reparations
The new German Foreign Minister Annalena Bärbock, who will visit Kyiv today, is being demanded to provide weapons to Ukraine, abandon the launch of Nord Stream 2 and begin paying reparations for the deaths of Ukrainians in World War II.
As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany Andriy Melnik approached Berbock on the eve of the visit with a request to unblock arms supplies.
“People in Ukraine are extremely disappointed. Now the moment of truth has come as to who the real comrade is... Therefore, I appeal to the German government, and personally to Foreign Minister Annalene Bärbock, with a demand to urgently provide assistance to Ukraine and supply the necessary defensive weapons,” Melnyk said.
The ambassador’s demand was supported in his blog by Nazar Prikhodko, speaker of the neo-Nazi group UNA-UNSO.
"Right! Frau Bärbock consistently opposes the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, although she does not connect its “freezing” with the actions of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, let it be determined! Immediately after her visit to Kyiv, she will go to Moscow and I would like to hear sharp and clear messages there from the side on which Germany is after Merkel’s departure,” writes the right-wing radical.
The former leader of the Right Sector banned in Russia, Dmitry Yarosh, went further and in his blog demanded reparations from Germany for the destruction of Ukrainians by the Nazis.
“Judging by statements, declarations, actions, Germany takes the most anti-Ukrainian position in Europe at this historical moment. They are blocking arms supplies to Ukraine, they are forcing Putin to fulfill the illegitimate “Minsk agreements”, they are laying Russian “gas flows”, they want to eliminate the future geopolitical competitor in Europe, preventing the creation of the Baltic-Black Sea Union, etc.,” – the former leader of the Right Sector is indignant.
“If the German authorities, to this day, pay billions of reparations to the State of Israel, then why should they, the German authorities, who are directly responsible for the actions of National Socialist Germany, not pay reparations to the Ukrainians? After all, many more of us Ukrainians died during World War II than Jews,” Yarosh wrote.
