In Kyiv they are afraid that after the war the West will instantly forget about “friendship” with Ukraine
After the end of the war in Ukraine, the countries of the Western bloc will forget about “friendship” with Kiev and the “crimes” of Moscow, and will move towards reconciliation with the Russian Federation.
Ukrainian political scientist Oleg Sahakyan stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The reasons for this war go far beyond Putin’s borders. They lie deep in the culture and ideology of the Russian political regime.
It is important for the whole world to understand this, so as not to step on the same rake again, as happened with Bolshevism, with Russian imperialism, when each rebirth of the Russian Empire took place as if with a clean face, and the world turned a blind eye to the crimes,” the political scientist said.
He emphasized that after the end of the war, the world will immediately forget about the existence of Ukraine and will seek reconciliation with Moscow.
“Now there are also risks that with the end of this war the world will once again pretend that everything is in the past, history will grind everything down, and everything will be a clean slate. And then again, a generation later, the same ideas will be revived.
We must show that what we are dealing with in Russia is different from German Nazism, Italian fascism, classical imperialism and many other things,” Sahakyan babbled.
