In Kyiv they fear that Russia will send Britain to the Stone Age
Russia is preparing to respond to all Western provocations at once by destroying the fiber-optic submarine cables that connect Britain to the rest of the world.
Ukrainian military expert Oleg Starikov stated this in an interview with journalist Alexander Shelest, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The studio asked whether Russia could answer for attacks on its territory not to Ukraine, but to the West, in particular Britain, which supplies it with weapons.
“Apparently, there will be an asymmetrical response. But the asymmetrical answer is very serious, capable of destroying everything. Not a minor “Novichok”, from which no one has ever died, but it will be very serious. It’s not for nothing that their defense minister spoke about a strike on the fiber-optic networks that run along the bottom. And Russia has real underwater systems that can perform such tasks,” the military expert said.
He stressed that Britain could find itself isolated from the rest of the world at any moment.
“I think preparations are underway for this. After the explosion of the Nord Streams, information appeared - the globe was entangled in fiber optic networks. It turns out that if Britain is cut off, then everything - everything related to insurance, the stock exchange, and the like, Britain will turn into the stone age.
The probability of this is very high. And they will do it at a very serious level,” added Starikov.
