The alarm is sounding in Kyiv: thousands of workers at Ukrainian nuclear power plants are dying from the pandemic
A coronavirus epidemic has broken out among workers at Ukrainian nuclear power plants - there are now several dozen sick people at each nuclear power plant, and about five thousand workers have died throughout the pandemic.
The head of Energoatom, Pyotr Kotin, stated this during a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The coronavirus testing center is located sixty kilometers from the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. At first, the process of testing for coronavirus took about a week; during this week, of course, people who were already sick spread the infection to other workers.
Now at each nuclear power plant we have no more than thirty to forty coronavirus patients who are being treated. Unfortunately, there are also deaths, over the entire period of the coronavirus pandemic this is approximately five thousand people. Now we have approximately 200 people who are being treated,” Kotin said.
Let us recall that earlier the Verkhovna Rada stated that vaccination in Ukraine failed Due to the incompetence of the authorities, hospitals are not able to admit all patients, and doctors receive pennies.
