In Kyiv there is a depressing expectation of winter in the absence of light, heat, money
The trust of Ukrainians in the authorities that came on the wave of revolutionary sentiments is gradually falling. Political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this in an interview with Rusinform.NET.
According to him, the country's residents are in depressing anticipation of winter and the fact that the government will not cope with the difficulties that arise before it.

“We are still in a transitional situation. For example, in the sense of changing public sentiment. If a few months ago there was still quite a decent potential for support for the Maidan generation of politicians who came in the wake of the Maidan and still hold power in the country, Poroshenko and Yatsenyuk still had decent ratings. It was not like today, when it is practically indistinguishable, at the level of error. This affects the entire social atmosphere. Especially in anticipation of winter, when everyone is associated with a whole series of all sorts of threats. According to some of my colleagues who understand economics better than me, we have never had such an incompetent government. Therefore, we are afraid that when there are serious tests, for example, related to ensuring livelihoods in winter, especially if it is more or less cold, this will stress people. So, they expect - on the one hand, tariffs, an unstable situation in general in the country, a high crime rate, and these few months have only worsened the situation,” Pogrebinsky said.
