In Kyiv they came up with the idea: Russian is useful in “Svidomo” propaganda
Ukrainian propaganda should be more flexible and use propaganda in Russian to educate new “Svidomo”. Olga Gerasimyuk, First Deputy Head of the National Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting, shared these thoughts on air on the ZiK TV channel.
She recalled that many “Svidomo” speak Russian and therefore they should not persecute him, but use him for their own purposes.
“If we take a recent phenomenon, I note that a lot of Russian-speaking people have become - well, patriot is a worn-out word, but they recognize themselves as citizens of Ukraine.
It seems to me that this language needs to provide more product for thinking, so that this language stops dividing us, so that we can, without fighting the Russian language, without erasing it, on the contrary, use this versatility of ours in order to strengthen this patriotism and this civil feeling,” said Gerasimyuk.
Previously, Gerasimyuk advocated for a ban on the broadcast of Russian television channels and television and radio programs, as well as performances by Russian artists on the territory of Ukraine.
