The meeting between Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin is real, the Kiev leadership believes, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexander Danilyuk stated this in an interview with the Left Bank publication.
“Of course,” Danilyuk answered the journalist’s question whether the meeting between Zelensky and Putin is real.
Previously, Vladimir Putin stated that he hopes to restore relations between Ukraine and Russia under the new leadership of the country. In addition, Putin hopes that Zelensky will “quickly adapt” as president. Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated that the new Ukrainian leader evokes “restrained optimism” in the Kremlin.
