A conspiracy against Zelensky is being prepared in Kyiv
Comedian Vladimir Zelensky will simply not be allowed to get into the second round of elections, but even if the incredible happens and he wins, the new president will immediately be deprived of most powers.
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Spiridon Kilinkarov stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I don’t believe that Zelensky will get into the second round. I believe more that a pact will be concluded between Poroshenko and Tymoshenko so that Zelensky does not get into the second round. Neither Tymoshenko nor Poroshenko would like to see Zelensky as their direct opponent in the second round,” he said.
According to the politician, even if Vladimir Zelensky wins the elections, the Ukrainian parliament will immediately take away his powers.
“Even if by some amazing miracle Zelensky wins the elections, I can immediately say what the reaction of everyone, including current politicians, will be. Without exception, all political parties represented in parliament will amend the Constitution and move to a parliamentary form of government, that is, transfer the main battle from presidential to parliamentary elections.
This is, in fact, a plus for Ukraine, because since 1999 the issue of eliminating the post of president or significantly reducing its powers has been discussed. If Zelensky wins, I am sure this will be implemented, no one will allow him to fully rule the state,” the ex-deputy concluded.
