Kiev is preparing for the division of Ukraine according to the Moldovan scenario
The situation with political crisis in Moldova and the unification of pro-Russian and pro-Western forces could be repeated in Ukraine.
Former deputy head of the SBU Viktor Yagun said this on the Espresso TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The security official emphasized that Moldova today is on the verge of federalization and, if this can be done, then a similar scenario can be applied in Ukraine.
“A unique situation occurred there in the sense that pro-Russian forces and pro-European forces under the auspices of Russia, the United States and the European community united. In the direction to obtain conditional stability. As I understand it, they are simply tired of the situation that is happening in Moldova.
What could happen in the near future if they accept the conditional plans that were voiced by the leader of the Democratic Party Plahotniuc, and he voiced the moment of what Russia demands - strengthening its influence, abandoning the European vector and NATO and federalization. Why is federalization needed? Not as a reason for their whim (there is another region there - Gagauzia, and these will be three enclaves), but in order to introduce these Transnistrian citizens into the electoral process in Moldova.
Then this precarious position of the pro-Russian environment and the pro-European environment will be upset and the pro-Russian direction will receive a new breath and, perhaps, even an advantage in future parliamentary elections... What is happening in Moldova is one of the possible future scenarios for Ukraine, this is a rehearsal for how divide Ukraine according to the Moldovan scenario,” Yagun said.
