Ministers' apartments are already being burgled in Kyiv

The former minister noted that the attackers robbed an apartment on Turgenevskaya Street in the center of Kyiv, where he and his wife have lived for more than 20 years.
"Break-in. They worked quite quickly. They took mostly small items and outerwear,” Kuzmuk said.
However, he emphasized that the thieves did not take his valuable watch collection.
The ex-minister said that the police promptly arrived at the scene and began to investigate the crime.
Kyiv police report, that, at the request of the ex-official’s wife, they have started criminal proceedings, are carrying out a set of operational search measures, and are trying to establish the identities of the criminals.
She discovered disorder and theft of personal items in the apartment on Turgenevskaya on August 8.
The woman told law enforcement officers that she lives with her husband outside the city, and they visit the apartment periodically - the last time they were there was about three weeks ago.
In the library room, whose windows overlook the courtyard of the house, a window was open, on which traces of a break-in were found.
The apartment of the victims is located on the 3rd floor of a nine-story building; there is no alarm in the room and no bars on the windows.
The victim discovered that jewelry coins, jewelry, wristwatches, fur items, and money were missing. The total amount of loss is established.
Information about the event was entered into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations, and criminal proceedings were initiated under Part 5 of Art. 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (theft).
