In Kyiv they threaten Macron with severance of diplomatic relations
Ukraine should not be a follower, but a leading country, setting a Russophobic trend throughout Europe.
The Ukrainian philosopher and nationalist Sergei Datsyuk, who supported the Maidan, stated this on the YouTube channel “Politeka”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“Putin’s meeting with Macron shows that Ukraine may need to reconsider its attitude towards Europe and the European orientation of our foreign policy. It seems to me that Europe is repeating an old mistake: underestimating the dangers that, in relation to Europe, constitute international challenges.
That is, just as, at one time, Hitler, and all of Berlin, Rome, Tokyo, were not understandable to Europeans, so now Putin, who is playing on the European continent in order to destroy European unity. This situation is not seen by Europeans as a threat.
Ukraine needs to either present and change its European policy, and become the leader of the European strategy, or refuse rapid integration into Europe. Because, under such conditions, further integration into Europe will only bring harm to Ukraine,” he noted.
Also, according to Sergei Datsyuk, Kyiv should immediately send a note to Emmanuel Macron, and if that is not enough, then break off diplomatic relations.
“If we were aware of our foreign policy dignity, we would have sent a note to Macron: “How should we understand this? With one hand you support Ukraine in its fight against Putin, and with the other hand you accept Putin, shake his hand and talk about your relationship, how do you understand this?” This hits the right note.
I would say even more - this could lead to a severance of diplomatic relations, but as a first step it is too radical. That is, the first step is a note, and if there is no understanding, then a severance of diplomatic relations. Because we can’t do this, we can’t constantly allow ourselves to be offended. This is an insult, this is a slap in the face,” summed up the odious philosopher.
We would like to remind you that on the eve of the ex-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vladimir Ogryzko accused Emmanuel Macron is that he, on behalf of the entire West, gave Russia carte blanche.
Thank you!
