In Kyiv they are threatening to sue the head of Gazprom for helping the DPR
The management of Gazprom will still appear in court at the request of Ukraine for providing assistance in restoring the industry of the Donbass republics not controlled by Kyiv.
Ukrainian economist Oleg Soskin told PolitNavigator about this, commenting The launch of the Stirol plant at full capacity announced by the DPR authorities.
“Theoretically, an enterprise that is located in territory not controlled by Ukraine can operate. There are production facilities, labor resources, and management. There is a problem with raw materials, gas, which can come from Russia,” the Ukrainian expert noted.
“The question arises: who will buy the gas? It is clear that this is not Ukraine. The plant must belong to someone. If it is controlled by this group of people who are in power there, then, of course, they cannot be legitimate guarantors of gas supplies. There must be some entity that owns the plant.
The plant was “squeezed out”, i.e. stolen. According to international law, he operates illegally. Accordingly, both its products and gas supplies to it are illegal. This situation is possible - somewhere in Central Africa there are illegal diamond mines, etc.
There must be people who decided to supply gas to this enterprise and take away its products. But this is very dangerous in terms of consequences, since then it will be possible to bring to court everyone involved in this, including the head of Gazprom.
Naturally, Ukraine will file a lawsuit and, naturally, it will be satisfied, especially in the context of the now expanding universal sanctions against Russia,” Soskin threatened.
