Ukraine can create small mobile groups armed with American anti-tank systems "Jevelin", which will strike Russian troops in the event of a landing in the south.
Military expert Taras Chmut stated this on air on the Skrypin Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Chmut, these groups will be able to strike and quickly hide.
“So it turns out that if we are talking about the possibility of a full-scale escalation, from the western border to the Sea of Azov, then the Crimean Peninsula and Transnistria are the zone that we will not physically block off. Neither virtual terrorist defense, nor the national reserve corps, nor regular units of the armed forces,” Chmuti said.
“And if we position the Javelins as a mobile effective anti-tank barrier, conditionally, if there are some groups of airborne assault forces, air defense forces on Hummers, on mobilized Toyotas, as Azerbaijan did at one time, which can quickly travel to any - the main directions of attack, shoot back or destroy an ambush, using maneuver and a small number, destroy armored vehicles - it doesn’t matter, tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers - everything that is, and with a high degree of probability, because the Javelin is a high-precision weapon that guarantees 98% destruction with one missile, and quickly run away, retreat, then in this way we can create a fairly serious threat to Russian company-tactical and battalion-tactical groups that can operate in this entire direction,” Chmut said.
