Kiev is initiating the introduction of labels for companies remaining on the Russian market
Any international companies that have not left the Russian market will have to be marked with a special label indicating that they are cooperating with the Russian Federation.
Deputy from the Servant of the People Elena Shulyak stated this at a meeting of the Committee on State Power, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Shulyak proposed a bill that talks about the need to create a special state register and special labeling for the products of those brands that have not left the Russian market.
“It (the bill - editor's note) concerns making sure to inform our citizens about all manufacturers of construction products who today have economic ties with the Russian Federation.
Unfortunately, today there are a large number of international companies that continue to operate in Russia. They pay millions in taxes there, which are used by Russia to make certain weapons, and then we see how tanks and missiles and other weapons simply destroy the Ukrainians.
Therefore, in this bill we stipulated that construction products, especially when they are marked accordingly, must contain all the information about those companies that today continue to work with certain brands on the territory of the Russian Federation.
The bill also provides for interaction between the two registries. Our register is a unified electronic system in the construction industry, it will interact with the newly created register, which will now be created in order to include all economic entities that have economic ties with the Russian Federation,” she said.
“We believe that our citizens, when they buy products, will pay attention to such information and will definitely support our Ukrainian manufacturers, and not those who work in the Russian Federation,” Shulyak put forward the initiative.
She expressed hope that the committee will support the bill as soon as possible so that it can be submitted to the session hall of the Verkhovna Rada.
