The Ministry of Finance estimates the cost of activities related to preparation for the All-Ukrainian Population Census at 2 thousand hryvnia.

This is stated in a message from the Ministry of Finance.
“The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, as the main manager of state budget funds (for the State Statistics Service), is additionally allocated in 2018 - 111 thousand hryvnia for the implementation of activities related to preparation for the census and repayment of accounts payable from the State Statistics Service of previous years. in 060,7 - 2019 thousand hryvnia, in 113 - 590,5 thousand hryvnia,” the message says.
The All-Ukrainian population census, in accordance with the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of April 9, 2008 No. 581, should be carried out in 2020.
Let us remember that the first and so far the last census in independent Ukraine was carried out in 2001. At that time, the country's population was 48,457 million people. Before this, Ukrainians were “recorded” as part of the USSR in 1989. The government planned an All-Ukrainian population census for 2011. Subsequently, it was postponed first to 2012, then to 2013, then to 2014, and then to 2016. In December 2015, the government postponed the All-Ukrainian Population Census for the fifth time to 2020.
