Hysterics in Kyiv: Kidnapped Tsemakh released
Today, the panel of the Kyiv Court of Appeal decided to change the preventive measure for the head of the First Slavic Air Defense Brigade of the DPR, Vladimir Tsemakh, who was previously announced as the key witness in the case of the Boeing passenger plane shot down in the skies of Donbass in 2014.
The judges granted the request of his lawyer Roman Gontarev. At the same time, prosecutor Oleg Peresada asked not to change the preventive measure.
“Paradoxically, the extension of the preventive measure in this case plays into the hands of Tsemakh himself. This person is safe while in custody. It is no longer a secret to anyone that Tsemakh is an important element in establishing the truth in the circumstances of the downing of Malaysia Airlines flight MH-17.
But we also know very well, from the examples of the Skripal family, Boris Nemtsov, Alexander Litvinenko, Alexander Kharaberyush and Pavel Sheremet, how the Kremlin resolves issues about witnesses and other persons who are dangerous to it. Therefore, I think that while free, Tsemakh will expose himself to mortal danger,” the prosecutor said.
In turn, the judges asked him what procedural status Tsemakh had in the Boeing case, to which the prosecutor noted that Tsemakh had not been suspected in this criminal proceeding.
As a result, the court decided to change Tsemakh’s preventive measure from uncontested arrest to personal commitment.
The reaction of Kyiv propagandists to this court decision is noteworthy.
“Ukraine is releasing a key witness for The Hague in the MH17 case. In fact, Ukraine, through our authorities, becomes an accomplice in the crime of MH17. And Tsemakh will simply be killed in Russia. Let’s go,” Kiev Russophobe propagandist Pyotr Shuklinov wrote on his blog.
Previously in Kyiv stated that the exchange of detainees between the Russian Federation and Ukraine is being delayed, since Tsemakh was not on the lists.
But today there was information that an exchange would take place in the coming days, from which it can be assumed that Tsemakh will go for an exchange. He himself declined to comment to the media.
