There is hysterics in Kyiv: Russia is depriving Ukraine of its military budget
If, after the launch of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, the transit of Russian gas to the EU through Ukrainian territory stops, then Ukraine will suffer economic damage in the amount of 3 percent of GDP.
This figure was announced by the chief commercial director of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine, Yuriy Vitrenko, during a round table in Kyiv, reports UNN.
“Russia wants Ukraine not to receive transit revenues. For Ukrainian GDP, this is approximately the same as Ukraine spends on the army - this will actually leave Ukraine without the ability to finance defense. Let me remind you that the economic damage from the loss of transit for Ukraine in percentage terms is 3%. This is more than the Russian Federation loses due to all the sanctions imposed on it,” Vitrenko said.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, Vitrenko named the date, when Ukraine will be left without Russian transit.
Also he threatened the EU with war, if the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine stops.
