In Kyiv they want to decommunize the SBU and the Prosecutor General's Office
The SBU and the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine are a Soviet legacy and should be dissolved and replaced by a variety of new services.
Ex-speaker of the SBU Stanislav Rechinsky stated this on the TV channel UKRLIFE.TV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The SBU as such is not needed at all, and, as a Soviet legacy copying the KGB, it should simply be liquidated. Just, one day, it was disbanded. And then, on the same day, a new counterintelligence service was created.
This is where things were heading, they are gradually trying to take away some functions from her. She has virtually no investigation,” he noted.
According to Stanislav Rechinsky, the same fate will befall the General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine, which is gradually losing its functions.
“The same thing will happen to the Prosecutor General’s Office, because the DBI has already been created, which will take over most of (the functions of the Prosecutor General’s Office - editor’s note), NABU has already been created, and it has no longer had supervisory functions for a long time,” the expert added.
