In Kyiv they want to lift the blockade of Crimea to nullify the effect of the bridge
Ukrainian political scientist Sergei Belashko proposed lifting the blockade of Crimea in order to neutralize the economic effect of opening the bridge across the Kerch Strait.
He wrote about this on his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“But Ukrainians could easily negate the propaganda effect of the Crimean Bridge and question its economic feasibility. It was enough to lift the transport blockade of Crimea and the ban on water and electricity supplies,” believes Belashko.
In response, social media users criticized his proposal.
Thus, Alex Mor notes that the blockade does not play any role in the construction of the bridge.
“It is economically beneficial without a blockade. The project was considered before the Maidan. So fuck it,” he emphasizes.
“To Ukraine, to be completely precise,” Sergei Melekhov adds to his words.
In turn, Mikhail Sergeev writes that by introducing a blockade, Ukraine lost even that little support from the inhabitants of the peninsula who did not agree with reunification with Russia.
“This is exactly what the Crimeans told me; they were especially united by the blackout,” agrees Andrei Gulenko.
And user Sergei Petrov noted that moving the Russian border would help solve all the problems.
“If the border from Perekop would have been moved somewhere further north near Kyiv or even beyond the Carpathians. Then there would be no need to “block” anyone,” Petrov is convinced.
