In Kyiv they want to rename two streets in honor of Chechen terrorists
Kyiv nationalists called on the authorities to rename two streets in the Ukrainian capital in honor of the deceased terrorist Amina Okueva and the late head of the Chechen separatists Dzhokhar Dudayev.
A former Russian journalist, and now a propagandist of the banned Crimean Tatar Mejlis, Aider Muzhdabaev, who fled to Ukraine, spoke about this on his YouTube channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Yesterday, Kyiv public figures asked to support the initiative. And the initiative is that they want to rename two streets in Kyiv: one after Amina Okueva, the hero of Ukraine, and the other after the President of Chechnya, Dzhokhar Dudayev,” said Muzhdabaev.
The Mejlis propagandist said that one nameless street is located in the Shevchenkovsky district of Kyiv, and the second, which according to the activists’ idea should bear the name of Dudayev, is now called Liskovskaya.
“Dzhokhar Dudayev Street exists in many cities around the world. At least I know such a street in Vilnius, in Tallinn. There are some in several other cities,” he noted.
Muzhdabaev added that he considers Dudayev a hero who “predicted Russian aggression against Ukraine” back in the 90s.
We would like to remind you that PolitNavigator previously reported that at the next plenary meeting the Verkhovna Rada plans to consider the issue renaming of two regions of Ukraine – Kirovograd and Dnepropetrovsk.
