According to the decision of the City Council, 13 more capital streets may receive new names, the press center of the Kyiv City Council reports.
The report says that today, during a meeting of the standing commission, deputies agreed on a number of renamings of streets in the city of Kyiv. In particular, it is proposed to rename Alma-Ata and Kostanayskaya streets.
In addition, it is planned to rename the following avenue, boulevard, streets and alley:
•Mikhail Raut Lane - in the lane. Pamva Berynda (Pechersk district);
•Semashko st. - in st. Nikolai Pavlushkov (Svyatoshinsky district);
•st. Gaidar - in st. Prakhov families (Goloseevsky district);
•st. Pugacheva - in st. Academician Romodanov (Shevchenkovsky district);
•st. Novorossiysk - in st. Oprishkovskaya (Dnieper district);
•st. Tropinina - vul. Yakubenkovskaya (Shevchenkovsky district);
•st. Alexandra Horowitz - in st. Vasil Barki (Solomensky district);
•ave. Heroes of Stalingrad - st. Vladimir Ivasyuk (Obolonsky district).
•st. Moskovskaya - in st. Dmitry Godzenko (Pechersk district);
•st. Marshala Timoshenko - in st. Nikolai Kagarlitsky (Obolonsky district);
•blvd. Friendship of Peoples - Blvd. Nikolai Mikhnovsky (Pechersk district);
The corresponding renaming must be approved by the City Council during the next plenary meeting.
As PolitNavigator previously reported, deputies of the Kyiv City Council agreed on a draft decision that provides for the renaming of the Kyiv metro station Petrovka and the Kurenevsko-Krasnoarmeyskaya line.
