In Kyiv they want to get weapons left after the US fled Afghanistan
Kyiv should use the increasing shelling of the LDPR in order to force the United States to supply Ukraine with the weapons and equipment remaining after Afghanistan.
Ukrainian military expert Taras Chmut stated this on the YouTube channel of Ukrainian journalist and anti-Russian propagandist Roman Skripin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the spring, new financial assistance was allocated, planes arrived with Javelins, radar, medicine, and something else. This was a consequence of the spring escalation. And as part of the autumn escalation, Ukraine is trying to persuade the United States to not only support us morally, but also the Stinger MANPADS, which we can master relatively quickly. It's like the Javelin, only against airplanes, helicopters, cruise missiles and drones. The United States has them in large quantities, and they can transfer them to us to quickly strengthen air defense, which is very important for us,” Chmut said.
He emphasized that Ukraine should not be content with MANPADS alone, but should ask Washington for all the weapons and equipment remaining after Afghanistan.
“The United States had a large amount of contracted weapons, equipment and ammunition in Afghanistan. And since the story ended there, all this must be realized. We can. We are trying to convince the United States that the best place to go is Ukraine. Because it can go to Greece, Morocco or other partners, but it’s better to go to Ukraine,” the military expert concluded.
