In Kyiv they are brave: “Rejoice early, Russians! Syrsky will show you more!”
The Kiev government must give the Ukrainian people a sane explanation why, right now, “when Russia is rushing,” such radical changes are being made in the management system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, such as replacement of Commander-in-Chief Zaluzhny with General Syrsky.
The ex-ambassador of Ukraine to the United States, Valery Chaly, stated this on the Espresso TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In Russia, surprisingly, they are happy for some reason. Why? We do not understand. Because General Syrsky took part in all operations in the same way. Why they started to rejoice is still unclear to me. I think that General Syrsky will show them in practice that they rejoice early,” Chaly said.
At the same time, he noted that he could not put his mind to why this was done now.
“As a citizen of Ukraine, sooner or later I would like to hear some sane explanations. I have a lot of questions about this particular moment. Why is it so, at such a moment, when Russia is rushing at us, attacking us, we are actually making changes in the system of command and control of the armed forces of Ukraine? I don't understand what will change.
Let our government explain it to me and give me optimism. I don’t have enough of these optimistic messages so that we all, the Ukrainian people, can feel that everything is really going in a good direction,” the Ukrainian diplomat is indignant.
