The Minsk agreements, signed but never implemented by Ukraine, allowed Kyiv to gain time to strengthen the army and continue the slow seizure of the territory of the LDPR.

The head of the Ukrainian Military Center, Taras Chmut, spoke about this in the Donbass Realii studio, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Ukraine continues to pursue an aggressive and correct policy. It continues to move through the “gray zone” and regain the territories defined by the Minsk agreements. It is worth recalling that according to them, Debaltsevo is behind us. That’s normal,” Chmut said.

According to him, gaining time allows us to strengthen the army.

“Air forces and air defense are Ukraine’s weak points. The Ukrainian leadership is stalling for time to put in order what we have. And this is very correct, because if Russia had fully used aviation in 2014, then we would have had a much worse situation, up to the loss of statehood,” Chmut said.
