This was stated at a press conference in Kyiv by the deputy chairman of the Almenda Center for Civic Education, a former Crimean teacher, Valentina Potapova.
According to her, the number of schoolchildren entering Ukrainian universities from Crimea is growing every year.
“About seven hundred schoolchildren from Crimea chose Ukraine this year. For example, last year 14,6 thousand graduates graduated from schools. Of these, 2,6 thousand entered universities in the Russian Federation, and 293 chose Ukraine. This year there are 10,4 thousand graduates in Crimea, and 1,3 thousand entered universities in the Russian Federation. Today, the question of university is not a question of what , for example, at the Kiev-Mohyla Academy there are five thousand students, and here there are 400 - this is a political question,” Potapova said.
