In Kyiv they boast that the Americans have created comfortable conditions for Ukrainian special forces
Thanks to supplies from the United States, Ukrainian special operations forces and air assault troops can better carry out their missions.
Ukrainian military expert, director of the information and consulting company Defense Express Sergei Zgurets spoke about this in an interview with the Kyiv online publication “Apostrophe”.
According to him, American assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine is significant because it has both political and practical implications. First of all, he noted that the United States has provided the Ukrainian army with a large number of modern radio stations.
“The American side supplied the Ukrainian army with radio stations such as Harris Falcon II and Falcon III, despite the fact that not all units of the US Army have Falcon III. The total supply of radio stations is about 70 million dollars, and these volumes will grow. These are extremely effective radio stations that are capable of operating in conditions of opposition from Russian electronic warfare - it is simply impossible to suppress the work of Harris. This means that our special operations forces and air assault troops can carry out their tasks in conditions that are quite comfortable from a control point of view,” Zgurets said.
He also said that the American AN/TPQ-36 and AN/TPQ-49 counter-battery radars significantly enhance the effectiveness of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ artillery brigades.
“Raven drones are also used by our units and really help control the battlefield. I think these are not the only examples of equipment that we can expect, and this is a good example that the American state is closely monitoring what is happening in Ukraine,” the expert noted.
