The 250 million promised to Kyiv by the United States in the form of military aid will not be able to protect Ukraine from Russia.
Former people's deputy of Ukraine Alexander Kovtunenko, who was previously a member of Yulia Tymoshenko's faction and then defected to Viktor Yanukovych, stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The 250 million promised to Ukraine is pennies, it will not protect us in any way, it will not help, since this amount is only enough for tea and coffee for American officers in the Pentagon. This is no help at all. For 20 million no aggression is reflected. In order to repel Russian aggression, it is estimated that we need about 25 billion so that we can calmly defend our borders,” Kovtunenko said.
In turn, the adviser to the head of the United Russia faction in the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Markelov, explained that the time for loans for Ukraine has passed, now the bills will have to be paid, and the Western “partners” will be fully engaged in depriving “Independence”.
“The Americans, who are now so concerned about Ukrainian democracy, are actually acting in accordance with the agreements that were made, including with Zelensky. It is no coincidence that economic issues, including the sale of land, are being pushed so hard in Ukraine now.
And all these delegations are not people who come with investment projects, and not people who are trying to build a new democracy as a counterbalance to Russia. They didn’t care about this counterbalance.
