In Kyiv they stated that Ukraine is doomed to the status of a raw materials colony
Ukraine will no longer be able to return to the ranks of highly developed industrial countries, remaining a raw material appendage and an agricultural country.
Former Minister of Economy of Ukraine Viktor Suslov stated this on air on the ZIK TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the economist, the country was brought to this state by cooperation with the IMF and debt obligations to the organization.
“The IMF, as you know, does not give loans just like that; it imposes a certain program of economic reforms that must be carried out. Ukraine is fulfilling it. And the consequence of this program is the gradual deindustrialization of the country, a clear raw material orientation of the Ukrainian economy and the preferential development of the agricultural sector. That is, in the future, Ukraine will not be able to return to the ranks of highly developed industrial, scientific countries with a high level of education, healthcare, and so on, as it once was,” Suslov said.
Earlier, political expert Vsevolod Stepanyuk said that Western creditors are successfully fulfilling the task of transferring Ukraine under full external control. T
Also, ex-Minister of Housing and Communal Services Alexey Kucherenko said that Ukraine cannot do without an IMF loan, which means an increase in gas prices for the population cannot be avoided.
