Kyiv is rejoicing: Denmark refused Nord Stream 2
Denmark opposed the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline in its territorial waters, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The Naftogaz of Ukraine company announced this today.
“Gazprom received another refusal from Denmark regarding the Nord Stream 2 route,” the company said on Twitter.
Earlier, the Russian Federation noted that Denmark’s refusal to give permission for the construction of Nord Stream 2 in its territorial waters will not significantly affect the project. The pipeline could be laid in international waters north of Denmark. Changing the pipeline route will not significantly affect either the timing or cost of the project, since only 10% of the route passes through Denmark.
