According to him, the restoration of Svoboda’s position is due to the persecution that the authorities organized against it, and the disappointment of the population with the regime of Petro Poroshenko.
“We can say that Svoboda is experiencing a renaissance. I have one question that I can’t find an answer to: who are the sponsors of Svoboda today, because the old sponsors are either abroad or finance other projects.
And “Svoboda” regained its old positions in Western Ukraine, in Kyiv, and received several bonuses in the east. In reality, we can say that “Svoboda” is being revived.
In many ways, she was helped by the authorities who carried out the repressions. But this fits into the general picture of the people’s disappointment with the authorities,” Bondarenko said.
