The director of the Center for Energy Research, Alexander Kharchenko, stated this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“You need to understand that until February 24, Russia was in the same network with Ukraine, or more precisely, Ukraine was part of the united energy system Russia-Belarus-Ukraine, and we disconnected a few hours before the start of the war, and those people who disconnected went home and, When we arrived, we heard rockets. Therefore, it is clear that Russian power engineers know very well where and what is located in the Ukrainian energy system. Just as we know well where and what is located in the Russian and Belarusian energy systems.
Honestly, for me it’s an absolute paradox, because we understand that Russian power engineers show their military up to the level on the map: look, there’s a control room, you need to get into it. They know who is sitting there, they know these people personally. Those people who indicate their goals, they definitely know them personally, they communicated all the time to coordinate the work of networks,” he lamented.
“I sincerely hope that a large number of Russian power engineers will be in The Hague, because what and how they do, indicating goals to their military, is beyond good and evil for me,” Kharchenko chatted.
