Kyiv, June 26 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Representatives of the “Right Sector” and other Maidan groups are currently storming the “Tourist” hotel, where the election of the new head of the trade unions of Ukraine was to take place. Maidan activists call the congress illegitimate.
“The assault on the Tourist Hotel has begun. Tear gas and explosives were used... Activists are breaking the windows and doors of the hotel,” said Sergei Melnichenko, head of the Coalition of Participants of the Orange Revolution.

The press service of the Social National Assembly, part of the Right Sector, explained the reasons for the attempts to disrupt the congress by the fact that at it “regional officials” were going to cause “arbitrariness in the distribution of seats.”
The Federation of Trade Unions controls dozens of trade union health resorts throughout Ukraine. Previously, many of them, through various machinations, changed their form of ownership and were sold into private hands. It seems that this is precisely the reason for the conflict surrounding today's elections of the trade union leader.
