Jitters in Kyiv: Trump curtsied towards Putin
Events in the international arena indicate that relations between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin are improving, which may affect the future fate of Ukraine.
Ex-speaker of the SBU Stanislav Rechinsky stated this on the TV channel UKRLIFE.TV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It is unclear what will happen in light of the improvement in relations between Trump and Putin. Many have already said that the recent recognition of the Golan Heights by Israel is a nod to Putin, who in Syria does not benefit from starting a war with Israel over the Golan Heights.
And now Putin has a good argument that he does not want to fight with the United States for the interests of Israel and Syria. That is, that’s it, the States put their chip on the Golan Heights, and Putin recognized this and there were no special protests,” Rechinsky said.
