“Naturally, Europe will not give up gas, but the embargo on Russian oil will simply bury Russia,” he said on Channel 5.
“But the most interesting thing is that the United States and Europe have imposed sanctions, but Ukraine, against which there is a war, does not impose sanctions. Not in the banking sector, anywhere. A deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine receives his salary through a card from the Russian Alfa Bank. Parliament talks about sanctions, but does not impose them. He talks about a wall, but doesn’t build it,” Sirotyuk laments.
He was supported by political analyst Vladimir Gorbach, who was present in the studio. He suggested that Europe and the United States disconnect Russia from the international payment system.
“The next current stage of sanctions for Russia would be to cut it off from the international payment system. This is a step towards financial isolation of the Russian economy from the rest of the world. And we live in a period of globalization, when development can only be achieved if we have access to the global market. This will lead to an even greater withdrawal of capital from Russia,” Gorbach argues.
